About Coach Kelvin Scott:

Coach Scott is the back bone of the Indy Magic Girls Basketball Club. Coach Scott brings over two decades of coaching, dedication, and leadership to the Magic. Coach Scott is instrumental in the success of player development in the program. With 21 years of coaching with the Magic, Coach Scott has helped shape the foundation and growth of our organization.

Known for his competitive nature, demeanor, strategic mind, and understanding of the game, Coach Scott has mentored so many athletes, most of whom have gone on to compete at the collegiate level. His consistency, passion for the game, and commitment to his players make him a respected figure in the Indiana travel basketball community.

Coaching Experience:

21 Years with Indy Magic Girls Basketball Club:

  • Leads the Magic’s 17U program
  • Led Magic teams on exposure circuits including Blue Star, and currently E40 & NE2k
  • Instrumental in building the club’s competitive reputation statewide, regionally and nationally
  • Developed numerous players who advanced to NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA program
  • Specializes & focuses on fundamentals, basketball IQ, and situational awareness
  • Builds strong relationships that help players grow with confidence on and off the court

Coach Scott’s approach is about consistency, discipline, and respect for the game. He believes in teaching the “why” behind the play, helping players become smarter, more adaptable players. Coach Scott is a stickler for details and executing the right way. His guidance is rooted in values that extend far beyond basketball.

About Coach Marquis:

Nathan Marquis is a dedicated and passionate basketball coach with a proven track record of leadership across both boys and girls programs at the high school and AAU levels. With over 15 years of coaching experience, Marquis has impacted student-athletes through player development, team culture building, and strategic game planning. His focus on fundamentals, and work ethic has made him a respected figure in Indiana basketball circles.

Jessica DuBois Assistant Coach/Post Player Development

About Coach DuBois:

Coaching Experience:

  • Head Girls Basketball CoachWestern Boone High School
    As the head coach, Jessica led the Western Boone girls basketball program with a focus on team culture, and growth. Under her leadership, the program emphasized fundamentals, defensive intensity, and the development of the feeder program.
  • Assistant Girls Basketball CoachPlainfield High School
    Jessica was a key member of the coaching staff for coach Curt Benge. Jessica’s emphasis on player development, and strategic defenses helped Plainfield advance their program to one of Indiana’s most competitive high school programs.
  • Assistant Girls Basketball CoachUniversity High School
    At University High School, Jessica was instrumental in their run. Jessica helped the Trailblazers win three IHSAA Sectional, three Regional, and three final four appearances. Jessica’s daughter Kelsey was a four year starter for the Blazers becoming University’s 3rd 1000 point scorer. Kelsey is a member of the NYU Basketball team when she has earned two D3 NCAA National Championships

Her coaching style focuses on a team-first mentality while developing each player’s individual skills. She is passionate about creating a positive, high-energy gym where players are challenged to reach their full potential.


Bailey Stamper Head Coach 17U NE2K

About Coach Stamper:

Bailey brings a competitive collegiate playing background from both IU South Bend and Franklin College, where she developed a strong foundation in teamwork, and fundamentals. She also played high school basketball for Coach Bryan Graham at Triton Central High School.

Bailey served as our 17U NE2k coach during the 2025 season. She will continue to run the NE2k 17u division for the 2026 season.


Ron Rutland 17U E40 Assistant Coach

About Coach Rutland:

A product of the highly respected University of Indianapolis Men’s Basketball Program, Ron Rutland brings a player’s toughness and IQ into his coaching. His time competing at the collegiate level sharpened his understanding of the game and gave him the mental edge required to become a professional playing many seasons overseas.

Coach Rutland is intense, detail-oriented, and a stickler for the fundamentals. While he maintains an old-school toughness, Coach Rutland adapts to the modern game with an emphasis on adapting to player needs and player versatility.

Coach Rutland’s daughter Mackenzie is a member of the 17u E40 team and a Junior at North Central High School


Abby Abel Program Skill Development Trainer

About Coach Abel:

Abby Abel is the secret of the Indy Magic program, known for her deep understanding of the game, elite player development skills, and long-standing commitment to growing girls basketball.

A standout at Carmel High School, Abby was a four-year varsity player. She played five seasons with Indy Magic under Coach Justin Blanding, where she developed her game and leadership to an elite level.

Her hard work earned her a spot at Purdue University, where she played four years of Division I basketball, competing in the Big Ten and building a reputation for her high IQ and relentless effort. Following graduation, Abby stayed at Purdue to serve as a Graduate Assistant Coach, gaining invaluable experience in player development, film analysis, and program operations at the collegiate level.

Abby later reunited with Coach Blanding as an Assistant Coach at University High School, where she helped guide the program to three Sectional and three Regional Championships, becoming a key figure in their postseason success. When Coach Blanding transitioned to take over the boys program at University, he brought Abby with him as the Skill Development Coach and Lead Scout, trusting her eye for talent and attention to detail.

Returning home to the Indy Magic, Abby quickly became one of the program’s most respected coaches. She led the Jr. Magic program for three years, where she oversaw player development for girls in grades 3–8, helping lay the foundation for future Indy Magic success.

Now serving as the Head Skill Development Trainer for both Indy Magic and Jr. Magic, Abby runs high-level training sessions focused on fundamentals, footwork, and decision-making. She’s not just building better players, she’s building smarter, tougher, and more confident players.
